A cape and a mask can change the world! Not exactly, but VeggieTales uses a cape, mask and a group of veggie heroes to illustrate to kids they can make a difference! “The League of Incredible Vegetables” provides a lesson of how to conquer your fears while reminding them that we don’t have to be afraid, because God is always looking out for us! It also offers parents the opportunity to talk with their kids about the true meaning of heroism… no mask or cape required.
Here is a quick synopsis of the film
It was a bright and sunny day in Bumblyburg…until Dr. Flurry came to town. This chillin’ villain wants to freeze the whole city…in fear! It’s a job to big for LarryBoy alone, so he turns to the “The League of Incredible Vegetables” to help save the town from Dr. Flurry’s icy grip! When it seems like they’re all moments from the deep freeze, will the League remember to turn to One who is bigger than all our fears? Includes a brand new theme song and music video from Grammy-nominated and Dove Award winning group, The Newsboys!
Lesson: Handling fear
Verse: “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” Psalm 56:3
It’s no secret, I love VeggieTales and the messages they give to the kids. This League of Incredible Vegetables has quickly become a favorite in our house. Aaron and Jill both love LarryBoy so this DVD was right up their alley. Right now with them being in school for the first time and all of the new things that go along with that, the message of handling fear is a perfect message.
